Construction of new stadium underway
Construction of the 20,500-seater Hoa Xuan Stadium in Cam Le District’s Hoa Xuan Ward by the Da Nang Construction and Infrastructure Development Company is one of Da Nang’s key projects in 2014. There will be a 5-tier A stand, single-tier B, C and D stands, drinking, eating and toilet areas, and other rooms. The stadium’s playing surface will be planted with US Princess 77 Bermuda grass seed, and will include a fish-bone-shaped underground drainage system, and an automatic watering system. The stadium will reuse some materials which have been removed from the present Chi Lang Stadium to save construction costs.
So far, about 30% of the main construction work has been completed at a cost of 83 billion VND. The building of the foundations and concrete piles was completed in March, and half of the total area of the stadium’s beams and slabs has been poured with concrete. The pouring of the concrete for the piers is now underway.

The construction work started in February 2013 and is expected to be completed by late this year. However, the project is finding it difficult to keep on schedule due to a shortage of capital.
