Having graduated from the Hue University of Laws, Man sought a much-coveted job at the Da Nang People’s Procuracy in 2011.  However, the talented lady nurtured a dream of setting up her own business involving rustic Vietnamese products, especially childhood dishes reminiscent of the taste of the good old days.

Last year, Man suddenly decided to give up her stable job as a government employee, and debuted her own business with its impressive trade name: ‘Madasa-Gifts from Mother’ featuring its eye-catching logo.

At first, Man’s decision faced strong protests from her family members for fear of her failures.  Despite the many potholes on her road to success, the strong-willed woman has strived to risk everything to manage to realise her start-up dream.

Available on the official website of ‘Madasa-Gifts from Mother’ at http://vnmadasa.com are many different categories of delicious Vietnamese specialities, and all of them meet the national food safety and hygiene regulations.

Notable amongst the products on sale are seeds of Scaphium macropodum, ‘bo kho” (chipped beef), dried seafood products, traditional cakes and jams, such natural products as honey and cinnamon, Nam O fish sauce, and others for instant use.

To date, Man has received a large number of orders by clients from across Viet Nam thanks to the efficiency of her online sales.

Furthermore, Madasa products are also now on sale at many prestigious supermarkets and restaurants nationwide.  Man happily revealed that she earns about 40 million VND in monthly revenue.

Interestingly, ‘Madasa-Gifts from Mother’ made it into the top 60 entries list in the national Start-up Wheel 2016 contest which was held by the Viet Nam Business Start-up Support Centre.

Man also happily said that, enjoying her products, anyone may feel as if he/she was back to the old days.

In particular, ‘Madasa-Gifts from Mother’ is indeed a wonderful choice for those who now live far away from their homes in other localities, but they still keep their special sentimental attachment and feelings of nostalgia for the good old days back in their hometowns, especially daily dishes made by their beloved mothers.

Apart from her interest in startups, Man has always maintained her book reading habit.   To date, the talented woman has released a total of 4 autobiographies that all have received a high praise from readers.

Two years ago, Man’s plan entitled ‘The Right of the Young to Self-determination won the first prize at the ‘Viet Nam Expectation in the Next 20 Years’ contest which was jointly held by Tuoi Tre Newspaper and the World Bank.

Currently, Man is busy preparing for the opening of a Madasa shop in Da Nang next year.
