Director of the Da Nang Department of Transport Le Van Trung announced on Wednesday that domestic airlines are allowed to transport passengers with a frequency of one flight a day on Da Nang -Ha Noi and Da Nang- Ho Chi Minh City routes from 1 April until 15 April.

Director Trung remarked that the frequency of domestic flights between now and April 15 was reduced in compliance with the Prime Minister’s Directive to tackle the coronavirus pandemic.

Mr Trung added the Civil Aviation Authority of Viet Nam has also suspended all flights on remaining domestic routes for two weeks.

However, the operation of freight flights will be intensified both domestically and internationally. The purpose is to maintain production and business activities, especially in import-export activities, thereby improving the living conditions of workers in big factories and industrial zones, and supporting the Vietnamese government's efforts to contain the outbreak.
