SHB Da Nang lost 2-1 away to 3rd from bottom Song Lam Nghe An (SLNA) at the Vinh City Stadium, which was disappointing as they had been in the lead for most of the match.

SHB DN took control of the game from the beginning, and their dominance paid off in the 16th minute when their Argentinian midfielder Ezequiel David Britez opened the scoring with his first goal for the club.  The SHB DN players then continued to create many chances to score.

However, the tide of the game turned completely in the second half as the home team strengthened their attacks, used their pace to close down the SHB DN players, and threatened their opponents’ goal in the 53rd, 63rd, 66th and 78th minutes.  In the 79th minute their pressure paid off when striker Shackiel Henry shot directly into the goal to level the score at 1-1.

Three minutes later, midfielder Ho Khac Ngoc's accurate shot from a distance of 20m gave SLNA the 2-1 win.

In the other matches, Sanna Khanh Hoa beat Hai Phong 2-1 at home, whilst second-placed Quang Nam were held to a 1-1 draw at home by league leaders FLC Thanh Hoa.

Ho Chi Minh City defeated Can Tho 1-0 at the Thong Nhat Stadium, Long An lost 0-3 at home to Hoang Anh Gia Lai, Quang Ninh had a 3-0 home win over Sai Gon, and Ha Noi played out a goalless draw against Binh Duong.

After the first 7 rounds of matches, FLC Thanh Hoa still top the league with 15 points, followed by Quang Nam on 13 and Ha Noi on 12.  SHB DN are now in 8th place with 9 points.  Can Tho and Long An are the bottom pair, with 5 and 4 points respectively.

SHB DN will next play 4th placed Quang Ninh at home on Friday 3 March at 5.00pm in the Hoa Xuan Stadium, Cam Le District.
