SHB DN started the match very well and opened the scoring in the 65th minute thanks to midfielder Dang Anh Tuan’s perfect shot at goal.  Then, in the 89th minute, second-half substitute A Mit made the score 2-0 to SHB DN after latching on to an accurate pass from Brazilian striker Eydison.

In the other V League 8th round matches, Sai Gon played out a goalless draw against Ha Noi at home on 2 March.

On 4 March, league leaders FLC Thanh Hoa only managed to beat next-to-bottom Can Tho 1-0 at the Thanh Hoa Stadium, Hoang Anh Gia Lai suffered a 0-1 loss to Ho Chi Minh City at home, and Sanna Khanh Hoa defeated Long An 1-0 at home.

Yesterday, Hai Phong had a 2-0 home win over Quang Nam, whilst Song Lam Nghe An managed a 1-1 draw against Binh Duong in Vinh City.

FLC Thanh Hoa still top the league with 18 points, but only 1 point separates the next 7 teams.  Ha Noi and Quang Nam lie 2nd and 3rd, both on 13 points, and SHB DN is now in 6th place with 12 points.  Can Tho and Long An are the bottom pair, with 5 and 4 points respectively.

SHB DN will next play 5th placed Ho Chi Minh City on Saturday 11 March at 5.00pm in the Hoa Xuan Stadium, Cam Le District.
