Portuguese team's show highlights distinctive culture

On the 4th night of the ongoing Da Nang International Fireworks Festival (DIFF) 2018 on Saturday, the fireworks performance by Göteborgs FyrverkeriFabrik (GFF) from Sweden was followed by Grupo Luso Pirotecnia (GLP) from Portugal. The Portuguese competitors thrilled the spectators with their delicate and meaningful display deeply inspired by globally renowned movies.

 
 

In his interview with the DA NANG Newspaper reporters prior to the 4th night of DIFF 2018, Mr Joaquim Manuel De Melo Rodriques, the leader of the Portuguese team, highly praised this international-level much-awaited for offering the opportunity for his team to advertise the distinctive Portuguese culture to Vietnamese friends.

In reality, Portuguese people really love rock music and its subgenres, and this style of music brings people around the world closer, hereafter helping to uphold the spirit of noble friendship. This is the reason why rock & roll was in the spotlight of the pyrotechnic display by Portuguese contestants.

 
 

In bid to produce the best possible show at DIFF 2018, the Portuguese contestants applied the state-of-the-art pyrotechnic techniques, and installed a total of 7 launching locations along the western bank of the Han River.

The Portuguese team used up to 30,000 pyrotechnic effects and 3,000 kilograms of firecrackers fired from 7 launching platforms of between 6m and 7m in height, and 33 firing positions.
