Exhibition featuring paintings and photos about Avalokiteśvara Festival and Marble Mountains

As part of the ongoing Quan The Am (Avalokiteśvara) Festival, authorities in Ngu Hanh Son District and the Da Nang Art Photography Association held a closing and awards ceremony for the first edition of the Non Nuoc - Ngu Hanh Son art photography contest 2024 on Wednesday.

According to the contest’s organisers, after more than 3 months of launching, the Non Nuoc - Ngu Hanh Son art photography contest received enthusiastic response and participation from photographers nationwide with 324 entries (31 collections and 293 single photos).

Most of them closely followed the theme of the contest. They not only depict the stunning beauty of local landscapes and nature but also reflect the soul of relics and craft villages, and the vibrancy of human life.

With realistic perspectives and beautiful moments, many artworks created good visual effects, with unique dark and light shades. Many used modern technical equipment to create unique, good quality photographic works.

In the end, 47 outstanding works were selected to display in service of festival-goers. At the same time, there was no first prize winner. Three second, 3 third and 5 consolation prizes were given to the excellent entrants.

Also within the framework of the Avalokiteśvara Festival 2024, thousands of fine art stone sculptures of the Non Nuoc Stone Carving Village are on display to serve the sightseeing needs of people and tourists.

On the occasion, artists from the Da Nang Fine Arts Association also performed live drawings and sketches of the Avalokiteśvara Festival, creating new perspectives, honouring and promoting the beauty of natural landscapes, historical sites and local people's life.
