Vice Chairman Minh said “Over recent years, such Japanese localities as Kawasaki, Yokohama and Sakai, along with some Japanese businesses, have established the bilateral cooperative relations with Da Nang.  In addition, numerous Viet Nam-Japan cultural exchange activities have been held in the city.  This has helped to deepen the bilateral solidarity and friendship between Japan and Da Nang, and Viet Nam as a whole.”

The host also asked for help from Mayor Mizuno to appeal for even more businesses from his locality to invest into the city’s aspects of tourism and healthcare.  He pledged that the local authorities would create very favourable conditions for investors from Mizunami City to implement effectively their projects in Da Nang.

In reply, Mr Mizuno thanked the city leader for his warm welcome.  He noted that the Senjukai Social Welfare Corporation, a non-governmental organisation in Mizunami City, has cooperated with the Da Nang University of Medicine Technology and Pharmacy to provide many training courses for nurses to care for the elderly since 2010.

The guest also highlighted the importance of enhancing bilateral cooperation in healthcare sector, and accelerating the building of an around 1ha Japanese-style care home for the elderly in Da Nang soon.

About 300 km west of Japan’s Tokyo Capital, Mizunami is one of the country’s popular tourist destinations.  It boasts charming and poetic natural landscapes, and long-lasting traditional cultural values of Japan.
