City leaders offer incense to late former senior officials of Quang Da Special Zone

On Monday, Da Nang Party Committee Deputy Secretary Vo Cong Tri offered incense to late former Deputy Secretaries of the Quang Da Special Zone Tran Van Dan and Nguyen Van Tan at their own houses in recognition of the 50th founding anniversary of the Zone.  He was accompanied by some representatives from the Zone’s Liaison Committee.

On behalf of the city leaders, Deputy Secretary Tri expressed his deep gratitude to the late former Deputy Secretaries for their great sacrifices for the reunification of the country.  During his visits to their families, Mr Tri wished their family members good heath, and took the opportunity to encourage them to continue upholding the revolutionary tradition, and doing their utmost to make Da Nang a more civilised and prosperous city in the future.

On the same day, municipal People’s Committee Chairman Huynh Duc Tho visited and presented gifts to families of late former senior officials of the Quang Da Special Zone. 

They were late former member of the Zone’s Standing Board Mai Dang Chon, late former Deputy Secretary of the Quang Nam-Da Nang Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee Pham Duc Nam, late former Deputy Commander of Military Zone 5, Lt Gen Vo Thu, and late former Director of the General Department of Logistics, Lt Gen Nguyen Chanh.

During his visits to families of the late former senior officials, Chairman Tho expressed his deepest sympathy to them.  He affirmed that the Party, government and people of Da Nang are always grateful to them for their great sacrifices for the national reunification, as well as for the building and development of Quang Nam Province and Da Nang, and that of the country as a whole.

The city leader also wished their family members good heath, as well as encouraged them to actively become involved in local social activities, and to be good examples for their descendants.
