Singaporean businesses seek investment opportunities in city

On Tuesday, Da Nang People’s Committee Vice Chairman Ho Ky Minh received some Singaporean businesspeople from 22 companies based in the lion-country.

The Singaporean guests’ visit was to learn about the investment climate, and to seek business opportunities in such the city’s aspects as banking, construction, real estate, infrastructure, tourism, interior decoration, and industries.

Vice Chairman Minh said the Viet Nam - Singapore cooperative relations have been ceaselessly consolidated and strengthened over recent years.

He remarked that Singapore is one of his city’s strategic potential partners because the lion-country has rich experience in finance, construction, infrastructure, and hi-tech. Currently, Singapore emerges as the largest foreign investor in the city with a total of 24 projects, totalling over 717 million USD.

The host also asked for help from the Singapore Business Federation (SBF) to appeal for more businesses from their country to invest into Da Nang, and to implement investment promotion activities in the city in the coming time.

Also at the reception for Singaporean guests, Vice Chairman Minh vowed that the local authorities would always create the most favourable conditions for businesses from Singapore to invest into Da Nang.
