On Thursday, Da Nang's Song Thu Corporation handed over rescue vessel CSB 9004 and coast guard ship CSB 8002 to the Viet Nam Coast Guard (VCG).  At the handover event, the Corporation was presented with a third-class National Defense Medal issued by the Prime Minister.

The Corporation’s General Director, Colonel Ha Son Hai, said that rescue vessel CSB 9004 was the 4^th to be built for the VCG by his company.  The 12,016CV coast guard ship CSB 8002 can operate at a maximum speed of 21 nautical miles per hour, has a range of 5,000 nautical miles, is able to stay at sea continuously for 40 days, and can withstand a wind speed of level 12.
