Dangerous weather in East Sea

Published: December 07, 2015

According to the Central Centre for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting, a dangerous weather system has formed in the East Sea.

Due to the effects of cold air, the Tokin Gulf and coastal areas in the northern parts of the East Sea (including the Hoang Sa waters) are experiencing north-easterly winds at level 6/7 and rough seas.  In addition, the mid-central region is experiencing north-easterly winds at level 5/6 and slightly rough seas.

It is predicted that the cold air will continue to spread over the next few days.  Therefore, the Da Nang area and elsewhere along the central coast will have light to moderate rainfall with temperatures ranging between 25 and 280C.  The mid-central region will experience north-easterly winds at level 5/6, sea waves from 1 to 2.5m high, and slightly rough seas.
