Each of the social policy families who have had their houses repaired or rebuilt over the past 3 years has been presented with a 21-inch television funded by the city’s budget.

On Monday, a wide range of meaningful activities were held cross the city to mark the 69th anniversary of War Invalids and Martyrs' Day (27 July).  In particular, municipal People's Committee (PC) Vice Chairman Ho Ky Minh visited some social policy beneficiaries in Cam Le District, and presented gifts to them.  The recipients were 99-year-old Vietnamese Heroic Mother Tran Thi Suu from Hoa Tho Dong Ward, and 79-year-old Vietnamese Heroic Mother Phan Thi Trinh from Khue Trung Ward.

In addition, a group from the Cam Le District authorities and the district’s Fatherland Front Committee paid visits to care centres in Da Nang and Quang Nam Province for those who have rendered service to the nation.  Cash donations of 2 million VND were given to each of the centres.

The group also visited and gave gifts to 25 local war veterans who were the former leaders of the Cam Le and Hoa Vang districts’ authorities.

Furthermore, gifts were donated to 120 social policy beneficiaries in Hoa Vang District, and Dien Ban District’s Dien Tien Commune in Quang Nam Province.  Gifts worth 500,000 VND each were also given to 180 poor social policy families in Cam Le District.

Meanwhile, Hai Chau District authorities gave 1 million VND to the very poor families of the 7 martyrs who laid down their lives in the Gac Ma Island battle in the Truong Sa archipelago.  Also, 2 million VND went to 26 social policy poor families in the district.

The district’s Culture and Information Office also offered incense and laid wreaths at 7 local historical and cultural sites.  In addition, free transport to the local Martyrs' Cemetery was offered to relatives of the fallen soldiers so that they could pay tribute to them.

Leaders from Thanh Khe District authorities presented 1 million VND each to 30 local poor social beneficiaries who suffer prolonged illness, and the same amount to 20 families of local martyrs and Vietnamese Heroic Mothers.

Gifts and cash donations of 2 million VND were also given to the city’s care centres for those who have rendered service to the nation.

The Management Board of the Marble Mountains Tourist Area and Thanh Huong private business have also presented 1 million VND each to 10 poor social policy beneficiaries in Ngu Hanh Son District’s Hoa Hai Ward.  In addition, Sun Group and Vinpearl Da Nang Resort and Villas have donated 30 million VND to the ward’s Gratitude Fund.
