On Monday, the Viet Nam Association for Victims of Agent Orange (VAVA) and the National Humanitarian Portal 1400 jointly relaunched a campaign entitled ‘Joining Efforts to Relieve the Pain of Agent Orange (AO) Victims’ to appeal for donations for Agent Orange (AO)/dioxin victims through the use of SMS.  The campaign will last until 28 April.

By texting DACAM to 1409, an individual can donate 18,000 VND to the appeal.

The campaign was first launched in 2012, and it has, to date, raised more than 18 billion VND (790,020 USD), including over 4.2 billion VND (184,338 USD) in 2016.

As a result of the donations, numerous care and rehabilitation facilities have been built for AO victims nationwide, along with financial support delivered directly to victims throughout the country.
