According to the Mid-Central Region Centre for Hydro-meteorological Forecasting, yesterday Da Nang and elsewhere in the mid-central region experienced a fierce heat wave with temperatures between 35 and 37°C.

Daytime temperatures climbed to 37°C, and it was even hotter in Dong Ha City at 38.6 °C, with the lowest humidity reported from 47 - 56%. 

Today (3 May), the intense heat is forecast to be prolonged across the region, with daytime temperatures ranging between 36 and 38°C and some places hitting 39°C.  The lowest humidity is expected to be 43% - 55%. 

The current hot spell is predicted to end within the next couple of days.
