Traffic arrangements for APEC

The Da Nang Department of Transport has recently announced new traffic arrangements in the city in order to ensure security at the forthcoming APEC Economic Leaders’ Week which will take place in the locality from 6 - 11 November.

In particular, all dumper trucks will be temporarily banned from running on all local streets between 3 and 12 November.

All types of trucks (such as trailer, semi-trailer, concrete mixer and crane trucks), over 16-seat coach buses, and garbage trucks will be temporarily suspended between 5.00am and 11.00pm from 5 - 12 November on the following streets: Hoang Sa, Vo Nguyen Giap, Truong Sa, Vo Van Kiet, Nguyen Van Thoai, Ho Xuan Huong, Nguyen Duc Thuan, Minh Mang, An Nong, a section of Nam Ky Khoi Nghia between its intersections with An Nong and Tran Dai Nghia, 3 February, Bach Dang, Tran Phu, 2 September, a section of Cach Mang Thang Tam between its intersections with the Hoa Xuan and Nguyen Tri Phuong bridges, Ham Nghi, Le Dinh Ly, Nguyen Tri Phuong, a section of Nguyen Huu Tho between its intersections with Nguyen Tri Phuong and Duy Tan, a section of Trung Nu Vuong between its intersections with Nui Thanh and Nguyen Van Linh, Nguyen Van Linh, Duy Tan, and Tran Thi Ly, along with the bridges of Rong (Dragon), Tran Thi Ly and Tien Son.

Also, the above-mentioned vehicles will be temporarily banned on Le Van Hien, Ngu Hanh Son, Ngo Quyen and Yet Kieu streets on 10 and 11 November only.

Between 5 and 12 November, all vehicles, except for ones with APEC registration plates, will be banned from parking on Hoang Sa, Vo Nguyen Giap, Truong Sa, Vo Van Kiet, Nguyen Van Thoai, sections of Bach Dang and Tran Phu between their intersections with the Rong Bridge and Nguyen Du, 2 September, a section of Cach Mang Thang Tam between its intersections with the Hoa Xuan and Nguyen Tri Phuong bridges, Nguyen Van Linh, Duy Tan and Tran Thi Ly. 

In addition, the dragon’s head at the eastern end of the Rong Bridge will not breathe fire and squirt water from its mouth, and the Han River Bridge will not open, on 4, 5, 11 and 12 November.

The operation of local tourist boats on the Han River will be temporarily suspended on 9, 10 and 11 November.

Such types of trucks as trailer, semi-trailer, concrete mixer and crane trucks, except for ones with APEC registration plates, will arrive at and leave the Tien Sa Port on the following routes: 

Cach Mang Thang Tam-Nguyen Tri Phuong Bridge-Vo Chi Cong-Tran Dai Nghia-Le Van Hien-Ngu Hanh Son-Ngo Quyen-Yet Kieu-Tien Sa Port and vice versa;

National Highway 1A-Nam Ky Khoi Nghia-Tran Dai Nghia-Le Van Hien-Ngu Hanh Son-Ngo Quyen-Yet Kieu-Tien Sa Port and vice versa.

Over 16-seat coach buses, except for ones with APEC registration plates, will arrive in and leave Quang Nam Province’s Hoi An City on the following routes:

Thuan Phuoc Bridge-Le Duc Tho- Yet Kieu-Ngo Quyen-Ngu Hanh Son-Le Van Hien-Tran Dai Nghia-Hoi An City and vice versa;

Thuan Phuoc Bridge-Tran Hung Dao-Chuong Duong-Bui Ta Han-Le Van Hien-Tran Dai Nghia-Hoi An City and vice versa;

Nguyen Tri Phuong Bridge-Vo Chi Cong-Tran Dai Nghia-Hoi An City and vice versa.

All types of trucks and over 16-seat coach buses, except for ones with APEC registration plates, will arrive at and leave Da Nang International Airport on the following routes: Dien Bien Phu- Hue T-junction overpass-Truong Chinh-Le Dai Hanh-Nguyen Huu Tho-Duy Tan-Da Nang International Airport and vice versa, and Tran Dai Nghia-Vo Chi Cong-Nguyen Tri Phuong Bridge-Nguyen Huu Tho-Duy Tan-Da Nang International Airport and vice versa.
