Red-shanked douc langurs live mostly on Da Nang’s Son Tra Peninsula.

The 40 displayed exhibits had been selected from more than 5,000 photos in total taken by Chin.

“I’ve worked hard for 18 months on the Son Tra Mountain to capture beautiful pictures on these cute doucs,” he said.

“I hope my photos introduce the beauty of my hometown to Ho Chi Minh City's residents,” said Chin, who was the former Rector of the Da Nang Vocational Training Junior College.

“I love Son Tra, its nature and creatures.  And I love to take photos of them.”

Chin also introduced his photo books titled ‘Bau Vat Son Tra’ (Treasures of Son Tra), featuring his best works on Son Tra and red-shanked doucs.

The book sells for 33 million VND (1,450 US$).  All proceeds will be used to protect the peninsula.
