City strives to create a safe and friendly tourism environment
Apart from building more tourism facilities, the Da Nang tourism sector is making every effort to make the city a safer and more friendly destination for both domestic and foreign travellers. The aim is to encourage them to extend their stay in our city, and then return again later.
According to statistics released by the local Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, the number of tourist arrivals to the city in the first 4 months of this year rose by 4.3% year-on-year to around 900,000, of whom over 280,000 were foreign visitors.

This positive result was attributed to the great efforts by the city’s relevant agencies as well as to its culture and civilisation.
The Deputy Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, Mr Tran Chi Cuong, said that visitors are deeply impressed by the city’s high quality services, along with the hospitability and friendliness of the local people.
To provide better services for visitors, a tourist support centre at 32A Phan Dinh Phung Street, 2 information desks at the city’s International Airport, and one for cruise ship passengers in front of the Trung Vuong Theatre have already been opened. After more than 3 months of operation, these centres have helped to provide free tourism information for about 3,000 domestic and foreign visitors.
The city’s authorities are trying their best to develop tourism as a local spearhead economic sector by ensuring the beauty of the local tourism environment, as well as protecting the legal rights of visitors.
