TCIE Vietnam opens automobile factory in the city

On Tuesday the TCIE Vietnam Company, a subsidary of Malaysia’s Tan Chong Motor Group (TCM), officially opened its automobile factory at the Hoa Khanh Industrial Park in Da Nang’s Lien Chieu District. 

At the opening event, the company announced the debut of the Nissan Sunny model, which is Nissan’s globally best-selling sedan.

At the present moment, this new automobile manufacturing and assembling plant is one of the most modern in Viet Nam.  It was built on an area of 129,500m2 at a cost of 40 million USD, and it will produce 6,500 vehicles each year.

Based on its significant success and experience in manufacturing automobiles, the TCM Group will assemble a wide range of models in Viet Nam.  Once fully operational, its Da Nang factory will assemble Nissan Sunny cars, which will be manufactured in accordance with the strict requirements of Japan’s Nissan Motor Company.

To mark the opening, TCIE donated 100 million VND to the Da Nang Cancer Hospital.
