A number of representatives of some small and medium-sized businesses from Thailand’s Udon Thani Province have been visiting Da Nang to look for investment opportunities.

During their meeting with the local Department of Trade and Industry, the Thai guests paid special attention to the city’s tax and preferential policies for foreign investors.  In addition, they wanted to learn about the local transport infrastructure, especially the direct international flights into Da Nang, along with local business aspects such as making handicrafts, trading in jewellery, cars and air tickets.

The Department is coordinating with the Thai localities to accelerate the implementation of a research project into the development of the trade, services and investment activities along the East-West Economic Corridor (EWEC).  Following the success of this project, the bilateral cooperation between Da Nang and Thailand should be further enhanced, which will help to open up more opportunities for their businesses in the future.
