A discussion about ways to help Da Nang’s FDI enterprises overcome their difficulties relating to tax and customs procedures was held recently in the city.  The event was co-organised by the local FDI Entrepreneurs’ Club, the Young Entrepreneurs' Association, and the departments of Taxation and Customs.

During the event, local enterprises presented their difficulties concerning customs procedures and tax policies.  In detail, they reported that complicated customs clearance procedures wasted time and money.  In addition, they have encountered many difficulties when using e-customs procedures, especially when declaring goods.

The Head of the city’s Customs Department, Mr Nguyen Tien Tho, explained that because the e-customs procedures have only recently been introduced, there are a few problems with the customs declaration software.  He affirmed that his department will make every effort to solve this problem as soon as possible.

The Deputy Head of the city’s Taxation Department, Mr Nguyen Dinh An, answered questions relating to taxes.  He pledged that the local relevant agencies were taking many effective measures to help local businesses get out of their difficulties.

He added that the local taxation and customs agencies are providing local businesses with counselling and support services to help them fulfill their tax obligations.  He also stressed the need for local enterprises to gain an insight into the laws on tax payments, as well as promptly reporting any problems to local relevant agencies.
