Da Nang Port operates new crane
Published: July 01, 2013
Last Friday, the Da Nang Port received an almost 30 billion VND rubber-tyred gantry (RTG) supplied by the Doosan Heavy Industries Vietnam.
The 26m-high and 27m-wide crane can load and unload between 20 and 40-feet containers, with a speed of 20m per second. Most notably, the new crane is operated by the automatic PLC system, which helps to enhance the safe and effective lift performance.
The Deputy Director General of Da Nang Port, Mr Nguyen Huu Sia, said that the new crane brings the number of his port’s RTGs to 3, and that it will increase the loading and unloading capacity of cargo containers.
