Electricity output rises by 10.1% over last 6 months
By the end of June, the total electricity output of the Central Power Corporation had risen by 10.1% year-on-year to hit over 5.3 billion kWh.
To date, 115 of the 116 districts and 1,553 of the 1,561 communes in the central region, excluding the Hoang Sa Island District, have access to the national power grid. Thanks to its well-prepared electricity transmission and distribution, the company has reduced power cuts as much as possible.
The company is striving to fulfil the year’s target set by Electricity of Viet Nam which is to generate 6.096 billion kWh of electricity during the remaining months of this year. If successful, this will bring its total output to 11.55 billion kWh by the end of the year. Top priority will be also given to ensuring sufficient power supplies for production and daily life in the central region.
