85% of local residents use Vietnamese goods
On Tuesday, the Da Nang Fatherland Front Committee reviewed the city’s implementation of the “Vietnamese people give priority to using Vietnamese goods” campaign over the past 3 years.
During the review period, a wide range of publicity programmes have been launched in the city to raise the public’s awareness of the practical significance of the campaign, as well as to encourage local people to buy Vietnamese goods.
As a result, the number of local residents using high-quality Vietnamese goods increased from 50% in 2009 to 85% in 2013. Most notably, the city’s departments and agencies have paid special attention to buying public equipment and facilities which have been made in Viet Nam.
Vietnamese goods account for up to 90% of the total number of items on sale at the city’s markets, supermarkets and shopping centres. In particular, clothes, food, building materials and grocery items have all now won the trust of locals.
