Planning for petroleum trading network
On Wednesday, the Da Nang People’s Committee (PC) Vice Chairman, Mr Phung Tan Viet, directed the local Department of Industry and Trade to ask local petroleum trading businesses to comply with the city’s rules, as well as to submit their trading reports to the local relevant agencies before 10 August.
The Department was also urged to work with the relevant agencies to revise the PC’s Decision No 139/1999/QD-UB, which related to petroleum trading network development planning up to 2010, because it is not suitable in the current economic situation.
The city’s Department of Construction was asked to seek suitable locations for the relocation of petroleum retailers as scheduled, and to implement support policies for them if possible.
The Department of Planning and Investment was required to make financing plans for the “Petroleum Trading Network Development Planning in Da Nang by 2020 and a Vision Towards 2030” project.
Local petroleum retailers found to be in violation will have their certificates of business registration revoked in accordance with the city’s rules.
At present, the city is home to 60 oil and gas trading businesses, with a total of 96 fixed petroleum retailers and 22 oil ships.
