Similac Gain Plus Eye – Q recalled

Abbott Nutrition Viet Nam has recently recalled cartons of canned Similac Gain Plus Eye - Q No 3 1.7 kg products for children aged from 1 to 3 throughout the country because they are suspected of containing a paralysis-causing bacteria called clostridium botulinum.  4,387 cartons were imported into Viet Nam in lots No 2563G53117 and No 2676G53117.  4,000 cartons have already been found and returned, but the remaining 387 have yet to be received.

The International Relations Chief of Abbott Nutrition Viet Nam, Mr Do Thai Vuong, has advised that consumers who are feeding their children with the above-mentioned products should stop their use and change them for others at milk agents nationwide.  He affirmed that no suspected contaminated milk products have yet been sold in Da Nang.
