Local socio-economic development shows positive results
In the first 8 months of this year, Da Nang has seen numerous positive results from its socio-economic development.
There has been stable growth in industrial production, and vibrant growth in trade and services due to an increasing consumer demand. A high growth rate was also recorded in the tourism sector over the period.
By late August, the city’s income had seen a 140% year-on-year increase to hit 5,590 billion VND, fulfilling 68.4% of the year’s target. In particular, collections of local fees and taxes rose by 141.5% year-on-year to 4,439 billion VND, representing about 70% of the year’s target.

Furthermore, national defence, security and internal affairs in the city have been well managed over the past 8 months. All these positive results have been mainly attributed to the great efforts and determination of the local authorities and relevant agencies and departments.
