Ways to promote brand name of tourism sector discussed

As part of the “Develop a Brand Name for Da Nang’s Tourism Sector” project, a series of seminars is being held from 25 September until December at the Duy Tan University.  Yesterday’s first seminar saw the participation of over 200 representatives from local tourism businesses.

Three major subjects will be presented at these events.  These are the city’s current tourism development and its core tourism products, the shortcomings in building a professional tourism environment, and the conditions and procedures for building a local tourism brand name.

Co-organised by the city’s Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, the Netherlands’ PUM organisation, and Duy Tan University, these events aim to develop a brand strategy.  The focus will be on creating new tourism products and improving the quality of existing ones, as well as developing others suitable for the city’s potential tourists.

The creation of a local tourism brand name will help to advertise the image of the city to international friends in a more perfect and professional manner.
