2 million Euros for sustainable development project
A meeting took place on Wednesday between the Da Nang People's Committee Chairman, Mr Van Huu Chien, and the architect Didier Ducher, the Asia region director of the French company Tangram Architectes. Mr Ducher remarked that, following his company’s recommendations, Da Nang was a most suitable nominee for the 2 million Euros sustainable city development research project because of its great development orientations.
The French architect noted that his company had been selected by the French government and the European Community to implement this project. He added that, once successfully implemented, the project will make a significant contribution to promoting the city’s sustainable development, as well as to attracting even more investments from both domestic and foreign businesses, especially in such aspects as the economy, tourism and real estate.

Mr Ducher also asked the local authorities to approve the deployment of the project as soon as possible, and to create favourable conditions for his company to conduct this research in the city.
Chairman Chien emphasised that his city is in need of more support from international organisations and individuals, and more research projects of this nature to help the city to achieve its targets.
The city leader pledged that the city authorities would issue written approval of the project as soon as possible, as well as assisting the Tangram Architectes company in the effective deployment of its research.
