Advertising tourism via Internet
The Internet has recently become an effective marketing tool for Da Nang’s tourism businesses to advertise their products. When accessing the websites of some local travel companies, including Vitours, Vietravel, Saigontourist and Fiditour, visitors can easily find information about the city’s tourist attractions, as well as that company’s tours. In addition, a free consultation service, promotions, and tourism event information are all available on their websites and have drawn a great deal of attention from Internet users.
According to the latest survey conducted by the city’s Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, up to 90% of European tourists and about 30% of Asian said that they often seek travel information about the city via the Internet.

Furthermore, in recent years, the advertising and booking of tours online has become the city’s most developing online service. Local travel companies say that online tour booking helps their customers to save up to 30% of the cost, and over 90% of their booking time.
The Department said that about 70% of Russian and French tourists and nearly 10% of South Koreans want to book their tours to the city online.
However, most of the local tourism companies’ websites have not yet diversified into online advertising and tourism marketing. Most of them are in Vietnamese and lack an English version to serve foreigners.
To better promote the brand name of the city’s tourism through online marketing, the local tourism sector should provide better customer care.
