Published: November 27, 2013

A discussion on spectroscopy and its applications is taking place in Da Nang from 26 - 29 November.  The event has been co-organised by the French Ministry for Higher Education and Research and the city’s Duy Tan University.  50 domestic scientists are attending, along with over 20 foreign scientists, professors and doctors from France, Japan, India, Germany, China, Russia, Italy, Laos, South Korea, and the USA.

The latest research on spectroscopy, and possible cooperative programmes between the international science community and Vietnamese scientists, are being discussed.

Speaking at the event, the municipal People’s Committee Vice Chairman, Mr Vo Duy Khuong, said he hopes that Da Nang will become an attractive base for both domestic and foreign scientists specialising in the research, transfer and application of advanced scientific and technological achievements.  He added that the latest and most advanced techniques would be applied in the local hi-tech industrial park in the near future.

Over recent years, Duy Tan University has strengthened its cooperation with international groups in research and putting spectroscopic techniques into practice.  This has made a significant contribution to promoting the city’s progress, as well as accelerating national industrialisation and modernisation as a whole.
