City leader visits textiles and garments company

By late November, Da Nang’s 29 March Textiles and Garments Company had met the year’s production targets one month ahead of schedule. 

The company’s industrial production value is likely to have risen by 122% year-on-year to 320 billion VND by the end of this year.  The total turnover is expected to be 400 billion VND, an increase of 120% year-on-year.  In addition, the company is likely to have earned 30 million USD from exports, a 121.9% increase, and is expected to pay 12.5 billion VND in tax to the city’s budget, an increase of 239%.  The company's employees each earn an average monthly income of 5.7 million VND.

These figures were released by the 29 March Textiles and Garments Company at its meeting on Tuesday with the municipal Party Committee Secretary, Mr Tran Tho.

Secretary Tho spoke highly of the company’s remarkable achievements this year, especially its steady production, and significant contribution to the city’s progress.  He said he hopes that the company will continue its efforts to further develop its business as well as improve the living standards of its employees.

Also this year, the 1st phase of the company’s Veston factory has been put into operation, which has helped to create more job opportunities for hundreds of local residents. 

To date, the company has already received orders into the 3rd quarter of next year.
