Farmers hope for bumper crop
Da Nang’s farmers have been busily involved in vegetable growing and aquaculture to meet the increasing demands of local residents in the lead up to the Tet Festival.
Hundreds of vegetable growing families in Ngu Hanh Son District are hoping for a bumper crop. Their main products are green cabbages, celery, Chinese basil, salad crops, and aromatic herbs.
Ms Nguyen Thi Lam from the district’s Khue My Ward is growing vegetables on 2 vacant lots along An Duong Vuong Street in My An Ward. She said that she was able to earn 10 million VND per month from sales, after deducting production costs.
