Increasing traveller numbers between Da Nang-South Korea discussed
A discussion about increasing the number of travellers between Da Nang and South Korea took place in the city on Tuesday. The purpose was to advertise the tourism images of the two localities, as well as to promote the opening of new Da Nang-Incheon direct flights.
The event was co-organised by the Korea Tourism Organisation in Viet Nam, the city’s Department of Foreign Affairs, and the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism.
Recent years have seen a dramatic increase in the number of Korean visitors arriving in Da Nang. This has helped to create new opportunities for bilateral tourism cooperation between the two localities, as well as to advertise the city’s cultural identities and popular tourist attractions to Korean tourists.
South Korea has become a major market for tourism to Da Nang. So far this year, the city has welcomed 55,500 Korean tourists, an 82% year-on-year increase. The majority of them have arrived on direct scheduled flights from Seoul, which operate twelve times per week.
