Promoting Da Nang-Guangdong Province tourism cooperation
As part of a working visit by leaders and businesspeople from China’s Guangdong Province, a seminar on promoting bilateral tourism cooperation between the two localities took place in Da Nang on Wednesday.
Co-organised by the Viet Nam National Administration of Tourism and the city’s Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, the event helped Da Nang and Guangdong businesses to seek cooperative opportunities and partners.

China has emerged as one of the key potential markets for the city’s tourism sector over recent years. In 2010, China was ranked 6th for the number of international visitors to Da Nang, but in the last 3 years it has been top. So far this year, the city has welcomed more than 105,000 Chinese tourists, a 14% increase over last year.
Da Nang boasts high-quality services, improved infrastructure, and favourable incentive policies for tourism investment. Therefore, it has become one of Viet Nam’s most attractive destinations for foreign visitors and businesses. Special attention is increasingly being paid to boosting bilateral tourism cooperation between Da Nang and Guangdong Province, and other localities in China, through tapping the full potential of travellers from these localities. In addition, a focus is on promoting the opening of direct flights between the localities to bring more Chinese tourists to the city in particular, and to the central region in general.
