Tet flowers expected to be many and varied
Thanks to the current favourable weather conditions, Da Nang will see an abundance and wide variety of beautiful Tet flowers.
In addition to chrysanthemums - the major Tet flowers - a large number of expensive flowers including lilies, gerberas and orchids are being grown locally.
Thanks to the positive results from the city’s upgrading programme in the rural parts of Hoa Vang District over the past year, the district’s flower-growing area has expanded significantly. In addition, advanced growing technologies have been applied, and many expensive flowers have been planted.

A flower growing area in Hoa Phuoc Commune’s Nhon Tho Village is a typical example. Several thousand flowers such as lilies, orchids and gerberas, and 5,000 pots of chrysanthemums, are being grown on net-covered farms, on an area of up to 4 hectares.
Apart from positive signs in both the quantity and quality of this year’s flowers, the expensive flowers, however, are still not expected to meet the increasing demand from local residents during the Tet Festival.
