Following a recent decision by the Da Nang authorities, a guarantee fund for local small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) has been established.  The non-profit fund will offset any losses, preserve and develop its capital, and manage its own risks.  It will also provide credit guarantees for local SMEs to allow them to access bank loans to develop their production. 

The fund will be financed from the city’s budget and local credit institutions, along with contributions from local enterprises, organisations and individuals.  With an initial chartered capital of 30 billion VND granted from the city’s budget, the fund will strive to raise its capital to 100 billion VND by 31 December 2015.
