Published: January 06, 2014

In an attempt to implement Da Nang’s “Year for Business 2014” programme, some solutions have been identified to help local businesses overcome their current difficulties.

They include further simplifying administrative procedures, shortening the time for business registration procedures, and applying a one-stop mechanism for business registration in the Planning and Investment, Taxation and Police departments.

A focus will be on reducing inspections and checks of the operations of local businesses.  In addition, special attention will be paid to ensuring that there is sufficient land inside and outside local industrial parks to help businesses to develop and expand their production.

Top priority will be given to promoting the establishment of a guarantee fund for local small and medium-sized enterprises.  In addition, local banks will be asked to further reduce their lending interest rates, and to offer many preferential credit packages as well as enhance their dialogue with local businesses.

The city will also attach importance to promoting trade promotion activities, expanding domestic and foreign markets, and encourgaging more businesses to invest in the city’s public services and works.

In particular, discussions between the local authorities and businesses is expected to be held in the 1st quarter of this year.  The purpose is to introduce the city’s action plans to help businesses, as well as to discuss the selection and honouring of 100 outstanding enterprises every year.
