According to the latest statistics released by the Da Nang Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, the number of tourist arrivals to the city is likely to reach 231,677 in January, an increase of 22.4% year-on-year.
An estimated 108,118 of them are foreigners, a 56.9% year-on-year increase, whilst the remainder are domestic visitors, a 2.7% year-on-year increase.

Thanks to this, the city’s tourism sector is expected to earn an estimated 637.6 billion VND in revenue, a 56% year-on-year increase.

Over the month, the city is likely to have received 22,610 air passengers, a 32.3% increase compared with the same period last year.  Meanwhile, the number of cruise ship passengers is expected to have risen by 92% year-on-year to 27,109. 

In addition, the volume of Thai and Laos tourist arrivals to the city by road is likely to have increased by 4.8% year-on-year to an estimated 1,100 during the month.
