Da Nang's markets and supermarkets have already re-opened since the 2nd day of the 1st lunar month, and the prices of their goods remained unchanged during Tet Festival.

On sale at local markets in these days were mainly pork, beef, chicken, seafood, vegetables and fruits.  On 4 February (the 5th day of the 1st lunar month), the price of beef ranged from 240,000 to 260,000 VND per kg, pork was between 100,000 and 120,000 VND, whilst chicken was from 120,000 - 130,000 VND.  Most notably, although there was a hike in seafood prices before Tet, these products were sold at reasonable prices.

Some of local supermarkets, including BigC Mall and Co.op Mart, also re-opened their businesses mainly to meet the increasing entertainment demands of local residents during the festival.  In addition, some of their consumer products like fresh vegetables, fruits and spring rolls have been the best sellers.  However, the purchasing power of locals for household and electronic appliances, along with fashionable clothes has remained weak.
