Despite the prolonged economic slowdown in the country and in the world as a whole, many Da Nang businesses, especially the larger-scale ones, have maintained stable growth, and have fufilled their tax paying obligations to the city’s budget.

In 2013, the Sun Group contributed 134.14 billion VND, the Silver Shores Investment Development Company 98.22 billion VND, the TCIE Vietnam Company 89.54 billion VND, and the city's branches of the Vietnam Brewery Limited (VBL) 46.7 billion VND.

In total, the city has collected more than in the same period last year, and from many different sources.  These include tax collections from local foreign-invested and non-State businesses, plus land-use fees.  Meanwhile, thousands of the city’s organisations and individuals have made enormous efforts to overcome their difficulties and fulfil their financial obligations to the city.
