Training course on preventing trading violations
On Thursday morning, some staff members from Da Nang’s Markets Management Bureau and other local relevant agencies attended a training course on how to distinguish fake goods from authentic ones. The event was organised by the React Company, which is involved in protecting the intellectual property rights (IPR) of registered trademarks in Viet Nam.
Last year, the city’s Steering Committee for Anti-Smuggling, Counterfeit Goods and Trade Fraud handled over 6,800 trading violations, an increase of 1,610 over the previous year. In particular, the number of violations involving trading in counterfeit and poor quality products, along with IPR, rose by 134.
In an attempt to deal with this matter, the committee is making every effort to counter the production and trade of fake and counterfeit goods in the city. Special attention will be paid to widely publicising information about such products and their IPR registrations.
