The Da Nang People's Committee (PC) Vice Chairman, Mr Nguyen Ngoc Tuan, and his counterpart from Nghe An Province, Ms Dinh Thi Le Thanh, recently discussed air tourism development cooperation between the two localities.  The aim was to fully tap the operation of flight routes between Da Nang, Vinh and Vientiane in Laos.

Various important issues were also presented at the event, including developing new tourism products, and exchanging visitors between the two localities.  Mutual support will be increased to build effective strategies to advertise tourism images of the 2 localities.  This should help them to emerge as the most attractive destinations in the central region. 

In an attempt to better prepare for the operation of the new routes, the two leaders urged tourism businesses to effectively develop tours and link travel routes between the two localities.  The national flag carrier, Vietnam Airlines, will also be asked to offer support policies for transport freight rates for tourism businesses in the two localities in the near future.

Also at the event, the leaders of the two localities entered into a cooperative  agreement to promote the tourism development.  Accordingly, the focus will be on sharing their information and experience in State management in the tourism sector, as well as boosting their market research and tourism promotion activities.  In addition, special attention will also be paid to developing their own unique tourism products, cooperating in urban planning and human resources training, as well as appealing for more investment into their localities.  More measures will be taken to improve the operation of their travel agencies and promote their tourist development in combination with fully tapping the operation of the air routes.
