The family of Mr Nguyen Suong from Da Nang’s Son Tra District last Saturday launched the two largest ever offshore fishing vessels in the central region.  They were the 4.5 billion VND, 1,150 horsepower and 21m-long DNa 90603, and the 5.3 billion VND, 1,150 horsepower and 25m-long DNa 90604.

The Director of the Bao Duy Oil Spill Response and Marine Service Joint Stock Company, Mr Tran Cong Vinh, said that the 2 fishing boats are similar to those built in Thailand.

A fisheries support ship named DNa 98001 had been launched the previous Thursday by the family of Mr Suong. 

The 3 vessels will be used for fishing in the Hoang Sa (Paracel) waters.
