Da Nang tourism promoted in South Korea
Representatives from Da Nang’s tourism sector are participating in a tourism promotion programme in Seoul, South Korea from 25 to 30 May. The event will help Da Nang to advertise its tourism products as well as seek tourism cooperation opportunities with South Korean travel businesses. In addition, ways to further explore the effective operation of the Da Nang-Incheon direct flights will be discussed at the event.
During their 6-day stay in South Korea, the Vietnamese visitors will also take park in the 2014 Korea World Travel Fair (KOTFA 2014), which will be held at the Convention and Exhibition Centre (COEX) in Seoul. This year’s fair will see the participation of hundreds of businesses from 60 countries and territories worldwide. The fair is expected to attract over 110,000 visitors from South Korea and other countries in Asia. During the event, Da Nang’s participants will also advertise newly-released travel publications which introduce the new logo and slogan of the city’s tourism. The publications will be presented to invited guests at the fair.
Recent years have seen an increasing number of South Korean tourists coming to Da Nang. Last year, the city welcomed 55,500, an increase of 82% compared with the previous year.
