The Chef Meat Viet Nam Company located in Da Nang’s Seafood Service Industrial Park is planning to develop its Ichi and Chiba Ichi brand names in the city.  In addition, it pledges to supply the best quality products to local consumers.

The General Director of the company, Mr Yamato Kamogari, said that his company was established in 2013 to mark the 40th anniversary of Viet Nam-Japan diplomatic ties.  The company is a subsidiary of Japan’s Chef Meat Chigusa Company which has 50 years of experience in producing over 300 kinds of sausages, cold cuts and meat products.  These high quality products are manufactured under the tight management of food hygiene and safety.

The Da Nang-based Chef Meat Viet Nam Company is equipped with advanced and environmentally-friendly technologies.  Their products are mainly made from pork and beef, which are available in the local market.  However, advanced Japanese technologies are applied in the company’s manufacturing process to produce its high quality foods.  The company now has over 30 employees, and those who are involved in preparing food have already attended 3-month training courses at the Chef Meat Chigusa Company in Japan.  During the courses, they learn essential techniques including pre-processing, meat cutting and packing processed food.  Thanks to this, the subsidiary company’s products are similar to those produced in Japan.

The Deputy General Director of Chef Meat Viet Nam, Mr Irino Yoshikatsu, affirmed that his company would expand its business activities to Ha Noi and Ho Chi Minh City and also export its products in the near future.  He added that the opening of direct flights between Da Nang and Narita City will help the city to attract more visitors.  Mr Irino also noted that his company pledges to develop safe and healthy products to satisfy the increasing demands of local residents and visitors.

The Deputy Director of the city’s Department of Foreign Affairs and Vice Chairman of the city’s Japan-Viet Nam Friendship Association, Mr Mai Dang Hieu, said that Da Nang is now home to 120 Japanese businesses, representative offices and affiliates of Japan-based companies.  Together they have so far poured in a total investment capital of 500 million USD, and have over 40,000 employees.
