Many businesses involved in automated customs system
In an effort to effectively implement Da Nang's “Year for Business 2014” programme, the city’s Customs Department has stepped up the application of the Viet Nam Automated Cargo and Port Consolidated System/Viet Nam Customs Information System (VNACCS/VCIS) in its divisions.
By late April, the department had fully connected the national automated customs system to all its divisions. In addition, the department had established its support teams to help local businesses overcome their initial difficulties as they join the system. As a result, since 18 April, 100% of local businesses have regularly used the automated customs system, involving 1,570 customs declaration forms.

VNACCS is based on a centralised processing model, integrating multiple features and utilities, which helps to make customs procedures quick and convenient. Thanks to the automated steps of declaring, receiving information, tax calculation, checking and streamlining goods, the time for customs clearance is shortened to a maximum of 15 seconds for goods in the green lane. The understanding and grasp of the system’s features, utilities and declaration procedures will allow local enterprises to implement procedures for their imported and exported goods clearance.
