Over the past 6 months, Da Nang’s Marble Mountains have welcomed around 337,000 visitors, and over 102,000 of them were foreigners.

The city earned about 5.2 billion VND in revenue as a result, fulfilling 57% of the year’s target.  Of this figure, over 1.9 billion VND was generated from tourists who took the elevator up Thuy Son (the Mountain of Water).

In the remaining months of this year, the Management Board of the Marble Mountains Tourist Area will focus on ensuring a cultural and civilised tourism environment, as well as stopping harassment of tourists.  Special attention will be paid to enhancing advertising of this tourist site in the mass media, organising many interesting cultural events and festivals to attract more visitors, and proposing the deployment of the “Tours to Thuy Son at Night” project.  Top priority will be given to reaching the year’s target of welcoming 600,000 visitors both from home and abroad, and raising the revenue goal by over 10%.  Measures will be taken to make the Marble Mountains a safe, civilised and friendly destination for visitors.
