Fairs and exhibitions contribute to developing trade promotion activities
Over recent years, an average of between 4 and 6 trade fairs have been held annually in Da Nang. The figure excludes the number of sales fairs which bring Vietnamese goods to rural areas, as well as fairs at regional, national and international levels.
The organisation of fairs and exhibitions in the city is considered to be one of the most effective ways of promoting local trade.
According to the municipal Department of Industry and Trade, there has been an increase in the number of participating businesses and stands, and the quality of displayed products at locally-organised fairs.

Between 2011 and 2013, the Department coordinated with other local relevant agencies to organise a total of more than 15 fairs and exhibitions in the city. They together attracted around 2,900 domestic and international businesses, with a total of 5,860 stands. Over the period, more than 20 local business delegations have carried out market surveys and participated in numerous domestic and international fairs and exhibitions.
A total of 5 annual and specialised fairs are planned to be held in 2015. This will help the organisers and the participating businesses to draw from many valuable experiences in developing their trade promotion activities.
