The Han Market has been recognised as a civilised trading centre for local residents, as well as an attractive destination for visitors from both home and abroad.  It is now home to 143 food traders, all of whom have already been granted food safety and hygiene certificates by local authorities.

Following instructions from the Ministry of Trade and Industry, the market has been selected to be the first in the city to join the civilised and food safety market model.  The model is now being applied in cities and provinces nationwide.  The member markets must meet the criteria of ensuring social order, meeting the national firefighting, fire and natural disaster prevention standards, as well as complying with the national regulations on food safety and hygiene and on environmental hygiene.

In Da Nang, the model will be applied to the Dong Da and Hoa Khanh markets later this year, and to the Hoa Cuong Wholesale Market and the new Hoa Thuan Market next year.
After that, the model will be expanded to other markets in the remaining districts of the city.
